With SiRoute™, Siemens Building Technologies is launching a new wireless security infrastructure, which is completely based on bi-directional radio technology (868 MHz).
Männedorf, July 14, 2003 - The current trend in building technology for residential and small commercial buildings is clearly heading in the direction of radio technology. Fire & Security Products is also among the front-runners in this area and, along with SiRoute™, offers the first security infrastructure with bi-directional radio communication (868 MHz). A very high level of false alarm protection has been achieved as a result of the innovative telegram routing algorithm EasyRouting. In addition, the individual units are extremely easy to install and the system essentially configures itself.
With the innovative SiRoute™ concept, Fire & Security Products (FSP) is going in new directions and for the first time is offering a comprehensive radio infrastructure with bi-directional radio technology (868 MHz) for alarm and security systems. The revolutionary innovation is due to the fact that the various detectors are not only directly connected with the control panel by radio: If transmission problems occur, the detectors use other components registered in the system to find their way to the control panel independently. This greatly increases the reliability and false alarm protection of the entire system.
Another highlight of SiRoute™ is easy installation: The universal mounting plate is screwed in or attached to the wall with double adhesive tape, click on the radio module and then the detector - and the installation is finished. Then just a few steps are needed at the control panel and the system practically configures itself. The supplied batteries have a service life of up to four years thanks to the energy-saving technology.
The product range currently consists of a smoke and glass break detector, passive infrared motion detector, door contact, indoor and outdoor siren and an input/output module to control the light, roller blinds and other comfort functions. The entire system is controlled with a handy remote control in credit card format.
With a gateway, the SiRoute™ units can be connected to every Siemens
Sintony intrusion control panel. Existing, cabled systems can also be upgraded
with SiRoute™.
